Don Ham

Don Ham is one of the most experienced and trusted stallion managers in the performance horse industry, with a career spanning more than three decades at the highest levels of breeding, bloodstock development, and program management. Since entering the industry in the early 1990s, Don has played a hands-on role in managing and shaping the careers of some of the most influential sires in the modern Quarter Horse, building a reputation for both precision and long-term vision.

His background includes leadership roles within some of the most respected breeding operations in the industry, including Bob Perry Quarter Horses and Manion Ranch, where he oversaw legendary stallions such as Smart Little Lena, High Brow Cat, High Brow Hickory, and Smart Aristocrat. Throughout his career, Don has consistently been entrusted with elite programs, where attention to detail, consistency, and a deep understanding of bloodlines are essential to success.

As an independent stallion manager, Don has guided the careers of leading sires including Spots Hot, High Brow CD, and TR Dual Rey, while also demonstrating a proven ability to identify future impact horses early. He was instrumental in the acquisition and management of Dual Reyish, an NCHA Futurity Champion and sire of LBR Hangem, and has played a key role in shaping some of the most valuable and influential mare lines in the cutting horse industry.
