Redgie Probst

Redgie Probst is a seasoned entrepreneur, rancher, and former corporate executive whose career bridges blue-collar beginnings and executive leadership. Until the end of 2024, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Quanta Services, Inc., a Fortune 200 infrastructure solutions company operating across the United States, Canada, and Australia. He brings decades of experience buying and selling businesses, inside and outside the equine and ranching world.

Probst’s rise through Quanta was rooted in his real-world experience and entrepreneurial grit. Forgoing college due to financial limitations, he pursued the lineman trade, became an electrician, and built two successful companies from the ground up. After selling them to Quanta in 2013, he remained with the organization, growing into regional and national leadership roles before ultimately becoming COO. Throughout his tenure, he emphasized culture, team-building, and workforce development — especially among military veterans and youth entering the trades.

A devoted family man and fourth-generation rancher, Probst and his wife of 25 years are raising four children — deeply involved in youth rodeo and competitive team roping. Through their operations, 3 String Cattle and QP Performance Horses, the family trains and shows top-tier futurity rope horses, with national wins to their name. He is also one of the founders of the Old West Rope Horse Futurities, a premier event series helping elevate the rope horse industry and provide a platform for elite equine athletes and horsemen.

Though he once ran 1,200 head of cattle, Probst has scaled down his ranching to remain more hands-on with his children’s pursuits and family life. He continues to advocate for the trades, alternative education pathways, and rural youth development through ongoing partnerships with organizations like Northwest Lineman College and the National High School Rodeo Association.
